Too much of "I went here, then did that, saw this person." Oftentimes I wondered how it related to anything of importance. I suggest more editing to reflect his supposed great storytelling skills he writes about. As an editor I found that people oftentimes cannot write in the way they would sit and tell you the story—which would be much more interesting—and this is one of those cases.
