I feel like I've been waiting for the Dragon Twins book forever. Once it was delivered, I was not disappointed! The characters were great! The symbiots and dogs were a lot of fun and were very protective when necessary. I thought that some scenes between the dragons, Barrack and Brogan and Delilah were funny. They were also intense and serious when appropriate. Delilah is a "take no prisoners" kind of woman who doesn't mind going toe-to-toe with protective, sexy, centuries-old twins or shady lawyers. The villains in this book were very dangerous and totally ruthless. There was plenty of romance, some of which was in dragon form. I think this is the only author of books that I have read with dragon heroes and heroine doing that. This story kept me reading way too late. I enjoyed reading it so much, I was up until 5 a.m. I'm an avid fan of several of Ms. Smith's earlier series like the Dragons Lords of Valdier, Cosmos Gateway, Curizan, Sarafin and Zion Warriors as well as The Alliance series. The set-up for the Goddess Aikaterina's story was intriguing and I'm really looking forward to reading that book and maybe something from Cosmos Gateway.

Twin Dragons' Destiny Dragon Lords of Valdier Book 11 S E Smith 9781944125158 Books Reviews

I really feel like Susan Smith wrote this book because she said she would not because her heart was in it. These books started out as very erotic (compare Abducting Abby) but this book only really had one hot sex seen. Also we learn nothing new about the Valdier or their world. The Goddess even seems tired of this series. I was really amped up about this book and looking forward to a new great story, but this wasn't it.
I purchase all of S.E. Smith's eBook and audible stories. She writes with such humor and love of her characters and worlds that it is impossible not to enjoy the stories. Delilah's story has been a long time coming. Both she and the twin dragons have been mentioned in previous stories. The story was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it and really loved Delilah's independence and ability to stand up to two huge aliens.
S.E. Smith has beaten this series into the ground, releasing books that are bare bones redundant plots with just the names changed. This short book (22 Chapters plus 2 excerpts from previously published books to increase the page count) has the basic plot of twin dragons looking for their fated mate to keep them from going bonkers and the human woman (who happens to live in a house in the woods- how many books have I heard that one in?) resistant at first to these alien strangers, but quickly has tedious sex (check that box off) and the breathing of fire, blah, blah, blah that I've read countless times before. Plus you have the token "danger" of one human against three dragons and two symbiots. (so much for the human) There is no suspense or interest as you know how this book is going to go having read the same plot countless times previously. I am getting a refund as I don't believe in rewarding an author from churning out unimaginative, repetitious plots. Stop resting on your past sucesses and put in the work to come up with an imaginative, interesting book as you have done in the past (the first twin dragon novel was 5 stars). This book felt rushed, even the sex felt as unsexy as you can get with one dimensional characters who I could care less about. This train has run it's course and has been derailed for quite some time.
It is my favorite series and I hope it doesn't stop here. This truly was an unexpected surprise to find that the first set of twins would get a second chance. Loved Delilah and her tenacious character. It was just what these set of twins needed. And "damn" they were truly sexy hunks. I hope this will also be in audio too. I have both books and audio books in this series. David does a wonderful job on the audiobook. Thanks for your wonderful creations.
While enjoying this series very much, there is such a thing as too much.

Seriously, the author needs to think about stories for the Curizan's & the Sarafin's; because the Valdier have been over and done with since before Pearl's Dragon.

Lately, the dragonlings' short stories have been more interesting than any of the other Dragon stories. I think this book was a patched up work of previous books, not much of anything new (generally speaking)
Great story, if you've read the previous Twin Dragons book # 7 you will remember the story of Brogan and Barrack the twin dragons who hadn't found their mate and went out of their minds. I always felt sorry for them and was delighted when this story was published.

Brogan and Barrack have traveled through space for hundreds of years, waiting for their destined mate to be born and finally they are about to meet her. They are in for a big surprise Delilah Rosewater is no shrinking violet, waiting to be rescued by knights in shining armor. Being the town librarian has only increased her love of reading and knowledge of pretty much everything.

The twins have their work cut out for them, and they don't have much time. Delilah isn't aware that she needs them as much as they need her. It's a great story
It took centuries but Barrack and Brogan finally found their true mate, and just in time too. This is a fun book and also "sexy and hot" according to Delilah who definitely appreciated the twins once she realized they weren't from the Cartel sent to kill her. There is danger and suspense mixed in with the twins courting Delilah. I always love it when the dragons talk to their people sides, they are so funny. I definitely recommend this book to lovers of the Dragon Lords of Valdier series. Enjoy! 💙💛💚💜
